Long-Term Relationships

In the words of NPL president Mark Wambach, “When NPL goes to work for a customer, we go to work for them for the long-term.” That idea is a pillar of NPL’s Sustainability Framework and a key component to how we THINK AHEAD. Long-term relationships aren’t limited to our customers, though. We approach relationships with suppliers in the same way. John Deere is one of those suppliers.

In 2013, John Deere presented NPL with its 250,000th backhoe in commemoration of a 13-year relationship and 1,700 vehicles. Three years earlier in 2010, Deere had been a critical supplier when NPL transitioned to replacement work and the workload, including the need for equipment, nearly doubled. Deere provided NPL with 75 backhoes in just 60 days.

Today, NPL’s strategic relationship with John Deere is going on 20 years. Hundreds of Deere machines operate in NPL’s fleet across the country.
